A PLACE TO CREATE, PERFORM AND BELONG.

YOUNG AMICI IS AN INCLUSIVE DANCE THEATRE COLLECTIVE FOR DISABLED AND NON-DISABLED YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11-25.

Delivered as part of AMICI Dance Theatre Company and produced by Turtle Key Arts. The project provides opportunities for young people to develop their creativity, build confidence and explore inclusive performance in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Meeting weekly at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, participants take part in dance and theatre workshops inspired by AMICI''s unique improvisation techniques. Sessions are suitable for all levels of experience and encourage young people to express themselves creatively, develop new skills and discover the possibilities of inclusive performance.

"I LIKE THE YOUNG AMICI COMMUNITY AND HOW IT’S INCLUSIVE TO EVERYONE AND PROVIDES A HAPPY POSITIVE SPACE FOR ALL. I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO COMING TO YOUNG AMICI."- Young Amici member

Young Amici is a place to meet new people, form friendships and become part of a creative community. Through workshops, performances and leadership opportunities, participants develop confidence, independence and a greater understanding of the value of collaboration and inclusion.

For many young people, Young Amici provides a pathway into the wider AMICI community, offering opportunities to deepen their experience of dance and theatre while exploring their own creative potential.

Young Amici is free to attend and welcomes young people of all abilities and levels of experience.
