IN 2024 WE SUCCESSFULLY RAISED FUNDS TO EMPLOY ELLIE FOR 18 MONTHS, AND WE ARE NOW ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT AS WE BEGIN TO RAISE MONEY FOR HER SUCCESSOR.
In a time when young people are struggling to find a career in the arts, this scheme is a unique opportunity. The successful candidate will learn:
- How to develop, book and produce large and small scale theatre tours and productions
- How to develop, book and produce community outreach projects
- How to raise funds and make applications to foundations and organisations
- Marketing and promotional skills to engage and develop audiences.
They will learn under the mentorship of Artistic Director Charlotte Cunningham and CEO Alison King, both of whom have thirty years of theatre production and outreach experience. Charlotte was awarded an MBE in 2017 and Alison an honorary doctorate for contribution to the arts in 2023. Paid opportunities to produce for the arts are hard to come by especially for individuals from a low socio-economic background. Turtle Key Arts guarantees a wage of £28,000 per annum to the successful applicant.
