TURTLE SONG LONDON

CREATING MUSIC, MEMORIES AND MOMENTS OF JOY TOGETHER.

THERE WILL BE A TURTLE SONG RUNNING IN LONDON (JANUARY - MARCH 2027)

TURTLE SONG BRINGS PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR COMPANIONS TOGETHER TO WRITE, COMPOSE AND SING THEIR OWN SONGS, SUPPORTED BY PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS AND CREATIVE PRACTITIONERS.

Over nine weekly sessions, participants share ideas, explore music and create original songs together, culminating in a special performance for family and friends.

No musical experience is needed. Everyone is welcome and taking part is completely free.

Venue: Royal College of Music, Prince Consort Road, South Kensington, London SW7 2BS

Workshops will be led by composer John Petter and director Carolyn von Stumm, supported by student musicians from the Royal College of Music.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• A friendly, welcoming space to enjoy making music together.
• The chance to write and sing your own original songs.
• Support from professional musicians and creative practitioners.
• A special sharing performance for family and friends at the end of the project.
• Tea, coffee, biscuits and time to socialise.
• A recording of the final performance to take home.
