JOY IS A CELEBRATION OF WEST LONDON DISABLED AND NON DISABLED ARTISTS IN AN EXCITING PROGRAMME OF VISUAL ART, MUSIC, THEATRE AND DANCE.

JOY is led by a steering group of disabled artists an arts practisioners. Each year there is a week of programmed performances at the Lyric Hammersmith by local disabled artists and companies, a commissioned public performance, free family fun days, networking events and during the year a series of creative art workshops at local special education needs schools.

JOY 2019 was hugely successful and involved 208 artists, 381 participants, 21 performances, 75 workshops and was seen by over 1100 audience members. Unfortunately JOY 2020 was cancelled due to Covid 19 restrictions but there was a blended festival (online and real life) in 2021, details of JOY 2022 will be available soon on the JOY Festival website.

JOY is produced by Turtle Key Arts in partnership with the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
