RedCape Theatre present The Idiot Colony , a visually stunning blend of physicality and text, based on true accounts. Genuinely funny and incredibly moving.

Forgotten for decades inside a mental hospital, Joy, Mary and Victoria escape their present by remembering their past. In the asylum's hair salon, to the strains of Rick Astley and Glenn Miller, they relive wartime affairs, illicit trysts and childhood secrets.

"This intense, beautifully constructed piece of physical theatre lingers for days afterwards" The List

"A delicate work of damaged poetry and slow-moving grace. Beautifully accomplished, a remarkable debut." The Herald

"luminous to look at...it has a sly sense of fun. One to catch before it slips away." The Guardian
